The Ziptrak® Outdoor Blind system slides smoothly through the guides at the side tracks onto the top roller, stopping along the tracks at any position using a special spring balance system. Ziptrak® blinds feature a unique central lock release mechanism - pull lever upwards and raise the blind all in one simple action or motorise your blinds.

Design your Ziptrak® Blind
Step 1 - Measure Your Opening
Our team will perform an onsite inspection to measure the overall height and width of your opening, or you are welcome to measure the site yourself.
The maximum dimensions for Ziptrak® blinds are 6000mm W x 3500mm H (Mesh Screens - does not need any joins unless the blinds are over 2.8m high), or 5500mm W x 3500mm high (Clear Screens - Welded joins will be at approximately every 1.3m of width). For larger spans, the option of a permanent or Ziptrak® removable post will allow two or more blinds to fill the space.
Step 2 - Select Installation Type
The side tracks (channels) can be installed with either a reveal fix or face fix approach according to the requirements of your area.
Reveal (Recess) Fix is when the track is fixed onto the interior frame or cavity surrounding your opening.
Face Fix is when the channel is fixed to the front or face side of your opening.
Standard Inclusions
- Heavy duty top tubes;
- Heavy duty bottom bar used in all installations (more robust) [standard bottom bar available on request];
- Powdercoated aluminium bottom & side tracks (xix standard Colorbond colours available, custom powdercoating on request);
- Stainless steel rivets used for installation for superior strength.
Step 3 - Select Your Material
Sunset Canvas has two fabric options for your Ziptrak® blinds: Vistaweave Outdoor Mesh or Clear PVC.
Step 4 - Select a Powdercoat and Spline Colour
Ziptrak® vertical tracks, bottom bar and pelmet (optional extra) are available in six standard colourbond powdercoating colours. Customised powdercoating is also available (fees may apply).
Spline is placed on the border of your blind to fix the blind into the vertical tracks.
Step 5 - Select a Top Style
Sunset Canvas has four top style options for your Ziptrak® Outdoor blind.
Cast Bracket: Open bracket which leaves the retracted blind visible (most popular option).
Back Flashing: Bracket with back flashing hides the blind from the external side (roller still visible from the inside).
Streamline Pelmet: Protects blind fabric and internal componentry with a unique brush inset to assist in insect control.
Pelmets and flashing can be added for an extra charge.
Step 6 - Select Extra Features
- Motorisation of Ziptrak® blinds: Make life easy with remote control operated electric blinds. Recommended for mesh blinds only as clear PVC becomes stiff in cold weather making it more difficult for the motor to raise and lower the blinds. A hard-wired electrical point is needed.
- Pelmets: Looks great and protects the roller and Ziptrak® blind when rolled up.
- Weather Strip: Improves the seal on uneven floors, easily compressing to fill the gaps. The black, soft material is UV resistant for years of outdoor use.
